The two (eastbound and westbound) 200-foot bascule bridges consist of four leaves, each complete with wind bracing, SAIy framing, center-locking machinery, and finger joints.  All leaves were rehabilitated with new open grid decks, traffic barriers, and purlins, while floor beams, stringers, wind bracing, and SAIy framing were only replaced as necessary.

Additionally, SAI prepared painting plans, details, and notes for all new and existing steel members. SAI also provided specifications, engineering estimates and post award services which included meetings, shop drawing review, and field construction inspection services about two days per week for period of 12 months.
